Ok, the main purpose of this post is to share with you a story of a young mum (lets call her yw) who is 23 this year. Round and LHL knows her because she was from our secondary school. I hardly know her cos shes one yr our senior and we were not from the same CCA. But as a junior, it is always easier to recognize your senior than the other way round. So anyway, yw started dating her bf (now husband) since sec2, and they knew each other in school. Surprisingly, their relationship was very stable at such a young age, when everybody else was just testing water. And after 7yrs of dating, her bf signed on after NS and got posted to US for work for 2 yrs. He wanted her to go with him very much and they got married asap withing 2 months, pack their bags and flew off. She was only 21 then. I guess it must have took her alot of courage to just simply let go of everything here in SG, and took a leap of faith to start a new life aboard. But of cos im sure her hubby give her enough confidence and security for her to make such a decision. She is also not afraid of showing her feelings towards her husband to the whole world thru her blog and facebook, which allowed me as a reader to be able to feel how strong her love for her family is and admire her even more. Shortly after they settled down in US, she discover that she was pregnant. She haboured thoughts of giving up the child because she was still very young. But after encouragement from her family in SG they young couple decided to bring the little life into this world. Right now, their little girl is 13 months and her pictures all look sooooooo xin fu! Really feel very happy for her even though i dunno her personally. They will be coming back in may this year, and i really wish that she and her little family will be happy always (: I have always been very fascinated by stories of how singaporeans break it thru overseas, cos i personally went thru the stage myself when i went china for 5 months when i was 19. listening to such stories inspire me alot to travel the world, listen to my gut feelings sometimes and also to take a leap of faith and never look back. I mean, u wouldnt know until u tired rite? Growing up in SG is like a flower in s nursery, never been expose to rain and shine.. Just living in our own comfortable temperature and condition... suddenly having this urge to just dump everything here in SG and go somewhere to reach out to under privilege people around the world.. Until i have gathered enough courage, i will still continue to dream in front of my keyboard and monitor.. (XBELIEVE IN YOURSELF GUYS!
